The RCAW Trade Show Has Grown!

Since 1965 the Roofing Contractors Association of Washington has worked to improve the roofing industry. One of the ways that they have been doing that in recent years is their annual trade show.

3 years ago the Roofing Contractors Association of Washington (RCAW) decided to put on a mini trade show. That small show 3 years ago has now grown to have 50-60 vendors, and up to 300 visitors! It has become an excellent platform for the members to meet each other and see new and different products. – Sefton Oxford (RCAW Secretary)

The Best Show Yet!

We have always loved attending this event, but this year stands out from the rest! This event gives the opportunity for the RCAW members to network with each other, learn about new products and services, and attend break out seminars on safety and roofing related concerns. Who Else Was At The Show?

In addition to the seminars, we had the privilege of meeting with some of our friends and colleagues in the industry. Below are just a few of the many booths that we visited.

GAF

As a GAF Master Elite® Roofing Contractor, we of course had to pop over and say hello to our friends at GAF! At the booth, we met with Donovan Gladstone, who was enthusiastic to show us 3 new things that GAF has for the year for their contractors. These tools will help contractors pass important and innovative information from GAF along to homeowners. This will in turn help the homeowner make an informed decision about what material to choose for their new roof.

NuRay Metals

Next we hit up our friends at NuRay Metals. NuRay metals manufactures standing seam roofing panels as well as siding, soffits, and metal trim. At this year’s show, they were showcasing new finishes on their metal roofing.  Jeff mentioned that this is the best trade show that the RCAW has had to date, and we have to agree! They have had a lot of people stop by to take a look at their products, and hopefully all the activity at the show is an indicator of another great year!

We also had a chance to catch up with Joshua at the SRS Distribuion booth.

Joshua informed us that there are still many contractors that do not know about the manufacturer rebates that are available to them. He is proud to be at the trade show and to have the opportunity to educate and help them in any way he can.
